The Aspen Institute Kiev in cooperation with Aspen Ukraine Alumni Association announces the 14th Ukrainian Seminar "Responsible leadership", which will take place in Carpathians on November 5-11, 2016.
The Aspen Ukraine Seminars were initiated in 2008 allowing leaders to practice the method, which helps participants to reflect on what they think makes a good society, thereby deepening understanding, broadening perspectives and enhancing their capacity to solve the problems leaders face.
Working languages are Ukrainian and Russian. Participation is free, although on a competitive basis.
Top leaders from all walks of life are invited to the roundtable discussion.

The Aspen Institute Kyiv announced on 27 May the public launch of its operations. Aspen Kyiv was officially approved by the Aspen Institute in November 2015 as part of its network of ten international partners in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The goal of Aspen Kyiv is to become a valuable and respected platform for open dialogue to address regional challenges.

Policy program on “Justice, Law and Society”
is launching and aims to promote dialogue on justice as a core value of good society. The consultations with leading legal counsels and civil society leaders were held in January-March which provided the basis for developing the action plan of program policy in 2016-2018. In particular it is planned to hold round tables, thematic (policy) seminar, discussions and other events that address the support of dialogue platform in such critical domain for Ukrainian society.
“Education and Society” policy program was started in January 2016
and aims at supporting positive changes in education system via dialogue of the leaders engaged in education development and corresponding innovations. Following consultations with leaders and innovators in the Ukrainian educational system - school education has been chosen as first priority for policy programs in 2016-2017. In progress is preparation of thematic (policy) seminars, round tables and other events within the Education policy program.
On April 2-8, 2016 the 13th "Responsible Leadership" Seminar took place in the Carpathians, Ukraine.
The event was organized by the Aspen Institute Kyiv and the Aspen Ukraine Alumni Association.
The contest for participation in the seminar was held from November 2015 till February 2016. The group was composed of 24 representatives from business, government institutions, NGO, media, culture, science, art etc.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the classical philosophical texts, to gain an experience of unique teamwork and take part in the inspiring discussions.
Activities of the dialogue platform is aimed at the formation of the communication environment for Ukrainian leaders, which allows a better understanding of fundamental values in the context of challenges of our time.
